Faster images, clearer paging and a better mobile view

  • Blog and recipe images now load many times faster, and cover images show in full on phones instead of looking zoomed in.
  • The blog and recipes now show all articles and recipes by default, with clear Previous and Next buttons between pages.
  • The home page looks the same on phones as on desktop: the food diary preview and descriptions are now included on mobile too.
  • In the calorie calculator and food diary, a selected food no longer stretches the view past the phone screen, and iPhones no longer zoom in when you tap the search field.
  • Fixed recipe pages where the nutrition values were calculated from the wrong recipe.
  • Sixteen English recipes were re-translated or synced from the Finnish originals, so ingredients, amounts, instructions and nutrition values now match.
  • The recipe list now shows time, servings and calories per serving for every recipe, and sorting by calories or time works for all of them.
  • Your chosen theme colours now also apply to recipe tags and step numbers, the macro calculator, water tracking and the Contact page.
  • Removed the extra "Advertisement" labels above ad slots.

A new look and a clearer interface

  • The whole site has a new, unified look: the diary, calculators, recipes, blog and settings now feel like one product.
  • The new home page brings the food diary, calculators, recipes and blog together in one place. The What's new? button shows the latest updates, articles and recipes.
  • You can change the theme from the palette button in the top bar: dark or light mode and the colours Original, Rose and Blue. Your choice applies to the whole site.
  • In the diary, recently eaten foods are now available right in the add view without searching, and an empty day helps you get started.
  • RestinBot now guides you step by step through the diary, the calorie calculator, the BMR calculator and the macro calculator.
  • New reading: a beginner's guide to calorie counting and the lowest-calorie fast food options.
  • Fixed an issue where diary entries made on a phone could be lost if the page moved to the background before saving.
