Chicken fillet (raw)400 g
Pasta, penne (cooked)300 g (dry ~120 g)
Cooking cream 10 %200 g
Onion1 large onion (approx. 150 g)
Garlic3 cloves (approx. 15 g)
Olive oil1 tbsp
Saltapprox. 1/2 tsp
Black pepper (ground)a pinch
Basil (fresh)a few leaves to garnish

Cook the pasta according to the packet instructions until al dente in salted water. Drain and save a couple of decilitres of the pasta water.

Dice the chicken fillet into roughly 2 cm pieces. Season with salt and black pepper.

Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the chicken pieces for 6-8 minutes until golden and cooked through. Set aside.

Finely chop the onion and garlic. Fry them in the same pan for 3-4 minutes until softened.

Add the cooking cream and about 100 ml of the pasta water to the pan. Stir into a smooth sauce and let it simmer gently for 2-3 minutes.

Return the chicken to the pan. Add the cooked pasta and stir. Taste - add more salt and black pepper if needed.

Serve immediately. Scatter fresh basil leaves on top. Finish with grated parmesan if you like.
