Yes, using the app is completely free — including features such as barcode scanning, food diary and weight and body fat percentage tracking graphs. All features are available at no cost, and their upkeep is funded by ads shown in the app.
If you want to remove ads and access useful extra features, you can purchase a RestinCal Premium subscription from within the app.
The app uses a public open third-party database for product information. Users can also add missing products and recipes to the system themselves, making them discoverable for other users.
We value your privacy, so account deletion has been made as easy as possible. You can do it yourself directly from the app:
Note: deletion is immediate and irreversible. It destroys all your personal entries from our database — including your weight history, food diary and any Premium subscription link — and these cannot be recovered. An active Premium subscription will not be refunded.
If you have shared a recipe or food item to the shared public database, the food data itself remains on the platform for others to use.
Yes. The weight and body fat data you enter is used solely within the app to calculate your calorie needs and track your progress. RestinCal never sends this health data to advertising networks (such as Google AdSense). Ads are based only on the general theme or your own browser history.
No. The app's calculations are mathematical estimates based on commonly used formulas. They are indicative estimates and tools for self-monitoring. If you have health conditions, are pregnant, have a history of eating disorders or anything similar, always consult a healthcare professional before using the app.
